An excellent way to develop public speaking skills in the long term is through membership with a Toastmasters club. A Toastmasters club normally meets twice a month and provides a safe environment for members to practise and hone their skills. Guidebooks are provided and members also help one another to grow by offering construction evaluation.
You may find out more about Toastmasters or search for clubs here:
For those under 18, you may join the Gavel club (junior equivalent of Toastmasters):
If you're looking for a Malay public speaking club, look no further. Join the famous Kelab Pidato Perdana - now in Ampang, Bangsar, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Putrajaya, Penang, Ipoh, Seremban, Melaka and Johor Bahru !!!
Kelab Pidato Perdana also has an English version, it's called KPP English. This is also a public speaking club but it focuses on the correct usage of the English language. Hence it is slightly differently from Toastmasters.
